Philadelphia Summer Day Camps Begin July 6

Philadelphia's Parks and Recreation's summer camps will run Monday-Friday from Monday, July 6 - Friday, August 14. Camps will run from 9 AM - 3 PM. Each day, breakfast and lunch will be provided.

As always, campers will get to experience a fun and safe summer camp experience. However, this summer, camps will be following specific guidelines to ensure the safety of all staff and campers in regards to COVID-19. This will include:

• No before or after camp care
• Theme camps (Performing Arts, Swim for Life) are canceled
• No pool visits or field trips
• Larger camps may be split between nearby sites due to camp size limits
• Staff will disinfect buildings and shared equipment throughout the day
• Face coverings will be required for staff, and encouraged for campers
• Groups will not share supplies
• Campers must wash or sanitize hands upon arrival and throughout the day

Additional information for drop off and pick up of campers:

• Staff will greet campers outside
• Parents/guardians may be assigned staggered pick up and drop off times
• Parents/guardian must notify staff of camper's temperature and any specific health symptoms

In the event that a camper or someone in his or her household is diagnosed with or exposed to COVID-19:

• The camper must quarantine at home for 14 days
• Parents/guardians may receive a refund 

These guidelines are set in place in accordance with Philadelphia's Safer-at-Home Plan.

Max Myers Park

Registration

Please call 215-685-1242 in advance before registering. Registration will be open 11 AM - 2 PM: Tuesday, June 18; Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18. More information can be found on Max Myer's Facebook Page. 

Prices

The six week program will be $225. This price includes breakfast and lunch. Money order is preferred and no checks will be accepted. 

A $75 down payment is required at the time of registration. The remaining payment must be paid in full by June 26, No sibling discounts are being offered at this time. 

Tarken Ice Rink

Registration

Please call 215-685-1226 to reserve a spot by leaving a voicemail with the child's name and age, and phone number and email address that is best to contact. The office will also be open on weekdays between 10 - 2 PM. Please call ahead to make an appointment. More information can be found on Tarken Ice Rink & Recreation Center's Facebook page. 

Prices

The six week program will be $300. This price includes camp shirt, breakfast, and lunch. A $20 registration fee is due at the tie of registration. All fees must be paid by July 24 to remain in camp. A 5% discount will be rewarded if paid in full by June 30. 

A sibling discount is being offered:

2 children registered = 10% off

3 children registered = 15% off

4 children registered = 20% off
